Hi, What type of email account are you using? If you are using an Exchange account, please make sure you have Cached Exchange Mode enabled and then check if Outlook will be faster. Hi all, We have Office 2016 running in our Macbook for quite a while now. Since more and more people are using it, there's now quite a noise about it regarding Excel, Word, and PowerPoint starting up slow. I upgraded to Office 2016 and I have to say Word is super slow when it comes to typing. Like it lags behind each word when I type. And, its worse when I type in a table. It's driving me crazy. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's the same for me on my Macbook Pro or Mac Mini. And, the slow typing on a table is also there on Word 2016 for iPad. ![]() Please also go to File > Options > Advanced, scroll down to the Display heading, check the check box before 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration' and click OK. A friend of mine has outlook on her mac and it's been sending duplicate emails for the past day. I checked it for updates, its up to date. I checked the storage, it's actually quite low about 14gb left of 500. When I checked outlook on activity monitor, it was showing up as 220% of the cpu. Another important thing to note is that her outlook account has 5000+ emails and her calendar consists of not just hers but about 5 other people as well. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. If updated recently, it's possible Outlook is just re-indexing all of the emails, which would explain why it's slow. Her low hard drive space is also a major issue, in fact - she should have 50gb free minimum (10% of overall HD size is recommended). Beyond that, I have not seen this type of duplicate email behavior with Outlook. Is her account an Exchange one, or connecting via IMAP/POP? She may want to check with any 3rd-party providers if it's the latter. If Exchange, is it Office365, or hosted elsewhere? It would seem highly unusual for other people's calendars to be there - go to Preferences within Outlook, then Accounts, and make sure hers it he only one in there. Also, click on Advanced, and go to Delegates, as it's possible she is pulling up a Delegate account info. She has permission to see the other peoples calendars. But i’ve come to the conclusion that it’s because of her large mailbox that exchange and office 365 is having a hard time communicating. Mac uses a different method of storing mail, rather than a.PST it uses folders and files.OLM. If it is the case where the servers have difficulty communicating it would explain the duplicate emails. Exchange is told that the recipient never received the email so it sends it out again and again. I’m going to just tell her to delete all the unnecessary mail and if not I was going to archive the older ones. Does this sound right to you? I’m just putting pieces together and I’m not 100% sure yet. • • • • • • •.
